Patricia Wild

Director & Practice Owner

Patricia Wild - Director & Practice Owner

Patricia qualified at Manchester University and has worked in many parts of the UK in a wide range of practices, both as an employee and in self-employment.

Thirty years ago Patricia and her husband decided to relocate to the Isle of Man and in January 1993 Patricia acquired the Practice in Ramsey.

Patricia was named Optometrist of the Year at the Macular Disease Society’s Awards for Excellence. She was a founder member of the society’s Manx group and has been a key part of the campaign to provide treatment for sufferers on the island.

Patricia is a keen sponsor of local Isle of Man charities and societies. Patricia and her husband enjoy gardening and travel when time permits.

Claire Cummins

Administrator

Claire Cummins - Administrator

Claire joined Patrica Wild as Practice Administrator in January 2024 and helps to keep the practice running smoothly while supporting both staff and patients. With over 20 years’ experience working locally as a manager at a residential home in Ramsey, Claire brings strong organisational and people skills to her role. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and pottering in the garden.

Helen Terry

Dispensing Optician - FBDO

Helen Terry - Dispensing Optician - FBDO

Helen has worked in optics for 25 years and has been with Patricia Wild Optometrists since 2013.

She qualified as a dispensing optician in 2003 and prides herself on providing quality care to all our patients, she also enjoys giving specialised advice when the complex dispensing cases arise, as well as training the team.

Outside the practice Helen can be found teaching children to dance, singing in a local lady’s choir, enjoying time with her family, or reading a book.

Catherine Coils

Catherine Coils - Dispensing Optician

Catherine (Kate) has been with us for 4 years and is a valued member of our team. She is currently away on a career progression to become an optometrist. We look forward to her return in September.

Ian Hodgson

Optometrist

Ian Hodgson - Optometrist

Ian qualified from The City University, London (which is now part of the University of London) in 1973 and moved to the Isle of Man to work for Watson’s Opticians in 1975.

Ian joined Patricia Wild Optometrists over 15 years ago. During the last 25 years he has also spent time representing optometric interests on various government committees.

During the last 50 years Ian has also represented the Island competing in the Island Games and Commonwealth Shooting Division Championships.

Trinity Lewis

Clinic Coordinator & Receptionist

Trinity Lewis - Clinic Coordinator & Receptionist

Trinity joined our team in September 2024 and serves as our clinic coordinator and receptionist. Trinity is new to optics but has developed a strong interest in the science behind vision care. Trinity operates our advanced diagnostic equipment.

In her own time Trinity likes traveling and spending time with her friends and family.

Neil Mattack

Optometrist

Neil Mattack - Optometrist

Neil qualified 20 years ago from Anglia Ruskin University and comes over from Liverpool to the Isle of Man to work for Patricia Wild 3 days a week.

He has worked in a wide scope of clinical settings from paediatric clinics to hospital placements and everything in between. He believes the quality of individual care that Patricia Wild Opticians offers is vital, as no two patients are the same.

Neil loves travelling and a recent highlight was a train journey to Machu Picchu in Peru on a train with 360° panoramic windows!

Catrina Callister

Dispensing Assistant

Catrina Callister- Dispensing Assistant

Catrina is our dispensing assistant at Patricia Wild Opticians. She enjoys hands-on tasks like fixing frames and installing lenses. She completed her training as an optical assistant through ABDO College and now supports the dispensing process, helping patients select and fit their eyewear and ensuring they receive the best possible service.

Catrina has a passion for the arts and loves spending her spare time creating.

Marjorie Skelly

Optical Receptionist

Marjorie Skelly - Optical Receptionist

Marjorie is a valued member of our team, serving as our friendly and welcoming receptionist. She takes pride in greeting every patient with a smile and enjoys making everyone feel at ease. Marjorie is always ready to lend a hand whenever she can.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and volunteers as a marshal during the TT races, combining her love of community and motorsport.

Catherine Craig

Optical Receptionist

Catherine Craig - Optical Receptionist

Catherine joined the team in January 2024 and is based in the Farmhill Practice. She had 25-year career in the hospitality industry working around the world and brings a strong customer focus to her patients even though she is new to optics.

She really enjoys working for Patricia Wild Optometrists with the friendly team who all strive to meet the patients expectations and deliver a personal service.

Away from work Catherine can be found trying to the tame her garden or spending time on her hobbies of knitting and crafting.
