Patricia Wild

Patricia Wild - Director & Practice Owner
Patricia qualified at Manchester University and has worked in many parts of the UK in a wide range of practices, both as an employee and in self-employment.
Thirty years ago Patricia and her husband decided to relocate to the Isle of Man and in January 1993 Patricia acquired the Practice in Ramsey.
Patricia was named Optometrist of the Year at the Macular Disease Society’s Awards for Excellence. She was a founder member of the society’s Manx group and has been a key part of the campaign to provide treatment for sufferers on the island.
Patricia is a keen sponsor of local Isle of Man charities and societies. Patricia and her husband enjoy gardening and travel when time permits.

Ann Quinn

Ann Quinn - Administrator
Ann joined Patricia Wild Optometrists in early 1995, having had experience as a secretary and a banking administrator. She has carried out multiple roles within the practice from receptionist, optical assistant and practice administrator and now works part time in an admin support role.
She has met many amazing, inspirational patients over the years and loves working with such a caring, hard-working team.
Outside the practice she enjoys spending time with family, especially the grandchildren! (but don’t tell her children)

Helen Terry

Helen has worked in optics for 25 years and has been with Patricia Wild Optometrists since 2013.
She qualified as a dispensing optician in 2003 and prides herself on providing quality care to all our patients, she also enjoys giving specialised advice when the complex dispensing cases arise, as well as training the team.
Outside the practice Helen can be found teaching children to dance, singing in a local lady’s choir, enjoying time with her family, or reading a book.

Catherine (Kate) has been with us for 4 years and is a valued member of our team. She is currently away on a career progression to become an optometrist. We look forward to her return in September.

Ian Hodgson
Optometrist
Ian Hodgson - Optometrist
Ian qualified from The City University, London (which is now part of the University of London) in 1973 and moved to the Isle of Man to work for Watson’s Opticians in 1975.
Ian joined Patricia Wild Optometrists over 15 years ago. During the last 25 years he has also spent time representing optometric interests on various government committees.
During the last 50 years Ian has also represented the Island competing in the Island Games and Commonwealth Shooting Division Championships.

Pamela Gold

Pamela Gold - Optometrist
Pam has been a qualified optometrist for 31 years, and has spent the last 6 years living and working on the Isle of Man.
She really enjoys working for Patricia Wild Optometrist with the warm and friendly team who care passionately about their patients’ eye care.
When not working, Pam likes to spend time growing and nurturing orchids; she can usually be found in her orchid houses!

Neil Mattack

Neil Mattack - Optometrist
Neil qualified 20 years ago from Anglia Ruskin University and comes over from Liverpool to the Isle of Man to work for Patricia Wild 3 days a week.
He has worked in a wide scope of clinical settings from paediatric clinics to hospital placements and everything in between. He believes the quality of individual care that Patricia Wild Opticians offers is vital, as no two patients are the same.
Neil loves travelling and a recent highlight was a train journey to Machu Picchu in Peru on a train with 360° panoramic windows!

Catrina Callister
Optical Receptionist
Catrina Callister- Optical Receptionist
Catrina particularly enjoys working with her hands, fixing frames, and installing lenses, to working with the clinic’s optical machines.
She also manages our social media accounts, and has been with Patricia Wild Opticians as part of the all-new reception team since early 2023.
Catrina has a passion for the arts and loves spending time creating and designing bespoke custom jewellery from her home studio and has a lifelong love of learning within the fields of health and sciences.
